Currency and VISA information
Greece is a member of the European Union. Greece’s currency is Euro (€). Greece is part of the Schengen Area. EU citizens can travel in Greece carrying a passport or an ID. The list of countries requiring a VISA can be found herein.
In case you need a VISA for your trip to Crete, the ECIS2022 organizers will be happy to provide an Invitation Letter.
Climate
The climate of Crete is characterized as mild Mediterranean, i.e. dry and warm, with sunshine all year round, very small seasonal changes in temperatures and no extreme weather phenomena.
