The prize is awarded annually. ECIS members enjoy a discount on the article processing charges in the journal Polymers. The prize will be awarded to an oral presentation of a young scientist. Applicants must possess a PhD with a scientific activity not longer than the PhD plus 7 years. For the application procedure please consult the conference website. The award, consisting of 500 €, is offered by the affiliated MDPI open access journal of polymer science Polymers. The decision for all oral awards will be taken during the meeting by a Committee set by the Chair of the Conference, and comprising: One representative per sponsor (MDPI, Ferroni, Substantia, Exerowa), one representative of the ECIS board, and five representatives from the local organizers/scientific committee.
One Oral Presentation Award for a Young Researcher (< PhD + 1 year) is sponsored by Substantia.
On 18 Dec 2017, ECIS and the Department of Chemistry of the University of Florence agreed upon the creation of the ECIS-Substantia Award for a Young Scientist to acknowledge the top level scientific activity of young researchers in the field of colloid and interface science. The prize is awarded annually. The award, consisting of € 500,00, is offered by Substantia. An International Journal of the History of Chemistry. Applicants must possess a M.Sc degree and must have been actively engaged in scientific research for a period of time shorter than the PhD plus 1 year. For the application procedure please consult the conference website.
